Finn's Blessing

The Sunday after Thanksgiving we had Finn's blessing. It was such a special day and we're so thankful for everyone that could be there. Some of our loved ones were out of town, but we knew they were with us in Spirit. The priesthood for Finn's blessing were Brother Wolz (our former bishop in this ward), Bishop Giles, Uncle Ben, Grandpa, Brother Bodily, and Wes. The blessing was beautiful. We were told Finn would be a very happy spirit and bring many souls to the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is definitely one special little boy.
We also had everyone over for yummy lasanga and red velvet cake afterward. Finn had a wonderful day, which he showed to us by letting me get these amazing smiles on camera! He was showing us his happy spirit that was told to us in his blessing.

While everyone was down here for Thanksgiving/Finn's blessing, we decided it would be a good time to take some family pictures. We headed down to Rancho san Rafael park and got some really nice photos! 

Thanksgiving: Stephenson Style

This was our first year hosting Thanksgiving in our home. Wes' parents and all of their kiddos, as well as Beth and Ben, came and stayed with us. We had a full house and my children loved every minute of it. Kim and Kisha and Kelsey were so good to Addy and Liam and loved on them constantly. Finn didn't lack for any attention either. Wes loved being able to cook the turkey in an infared cooker. It turned out delicious and our first Thanksgiving was definitely a success. Of course we went shopping the day after Thanksgiving and then all of the kids helped us put up Christmas lights on the house and the Christmas tree- such awesome Christmas elves. It was a great weekend!

Louisa Comes to Visit!

My dear host sister, Louisa, from when I lived in Germany, came to visit us! I haven't seen her in almost 10 long years! Crazy how time flies. She had to come to Tuscon for a work meeting and she decided to come up and visit us on her way home to Switzerland. We were so thrilled to have her with us. The kids couldn't have loved her more. She brought us lots of yummy chocolate and candy and she brought Liam a real Swiss electric train and Addy a walking/barking doggy! She cooked a German meal with Liam and taught him some German songs, as well as played the piano with him. We went to sushi and also to Lake Tahoe. It was SO MUCH fun and I'm so thankful she was able to come and visit. I also just got word that she will be moving to San Francisco in February for a year, so hopefully we'll be seeing more of her! We'll definitely be visiting her there! Here are some photos from our fun!
