Water Art and Funny Face

Liam is definitely an artist. He loves to color, paint, draw, play with stickers, etc. His auntie baby-sat him this week and brought him very fun new bathtub crayons. What a treat! This is an especially wonderful combination for a child who loves water and art! What could be better? He even enjoyed coloring on himself(check out the belly art). Albus' interest was peaked and he was checking out what all this fun was about! I would definitely say these crayons are a huge hit--especially if you saw him scream when we said bathtime was over. Oops!

Liam is also becoming quite the comedian. He finds himself seriously hysterical. He is also learning the fine art of being silly! He cracks himself up when he dances, sings, throws things, chases the dog, scares mommy or daddy by sneaking up on them, or feeds the dog. Everytime you tell him he's funny he snickers and makes this little face. He looks like quite the funny little trickster doesn't he?

Play Doh Fun!

Liam and I have still had some cabin fever so today we made some play doh and had lots of fun! We made yellow (Liam's favorite color) and blue. He had so much fun poking it with plastic forks and rolling the doh into balls. Then once the balls were complete, he would put them into cups and bowls and switch them around. We also used a teddy bear cookie cutter to make a play doh bear! What made it even more fun is that we did it on his new table from Izzy's grammie. He loves having this table in his room so he can sit there and read his books or play with his toys. He also, of course, loves to climb on top of the table. :0

After the play doh fun he took a nice long nap. After he woke up and ate lunch, he went into his room to quietly play for a bit. I took this opportunity to get my school stuff together, etc. I went into to check on him, much to my surprise, and found Vaseline from head to toe on Liam and all over the wall above his changing table. Yes, you read correctly, ABOVE his changing table. My sneaky guy climbed up onto his changing table, got into the Vaseline and smeared it all over the wall, himself, his table, etc. Oy vey. Thank goodness he missed the carpet. He's also talented enough to climb onto and off of the changing table without so much as a peep. Let me just say, I think he is now aware that climbing is for outside only! At least I hope he is... I thought his room was totally baby proof. I guess he proved his mommy wrong!

Visit with Oma and Opa

We went to Sacramento to spend the day with Wes' parents this past weekend. They were down visiting Ben, so we drove over for the day. We went to church and listened to Uncle Ben sing in the choir. Oma brought stickers for Liam to play with during church and he had so much fun! By the end of church, both Oma and Liam were covered head to toe in stickers!After church we went down to old Sacramento and walked around by the river and the railroads. It was such a beautiful day and neat to see the old little part of town. Liam liked playing on the railroad tracks(great thing to teach your child, right?). Luckily they are not in use. :) He also loved looking over the railings in the water. My little water bug would have jumped right off the deck into the water if I had let him!

We had a great day and it was so wonderful to enjoy the beautiful 70* weather. We now officially have spring fever!!

Meet Me at the Carwash!

Two weekends ago we went to Yerington for the weekend. The weather was beautiful and there was no snow in the forecast, so my mom and I decided to wash our cars. Liam had so much fun 'helping' us!

He did a really good job, but I think he had the most fun dipping his rag in the bucket for more fun soapy water! He's always been a little water bug and loved to also watch mommy spray the car off!

After he washed the car and we got his clothes dried off, he went for a ride with Papa on the four wheeler. We think he liked it, but we're not entirely sure by the look on his face. But, he sure had a lot of fun that weekend wandering and playing outside at Nana and Papa's. He climbed the little rock hills, made caves in the dirt piles and climbed the hay stacks. He is definitely a nature boy!

My Little Heartbreaker

We hope you all had a very nice Valentine's Day! Liam had an ok day. He's still not quite feeling up to par, but we had a nice day. He wanted to go 'shopeen,' (translation: shopping) so we went to Target and I let him pick out a little Valentine from his mommy and daddy. He chose a "Charlotte's Web" cartoon version DVD. He really likes it and always says that he "want PEEG!" (translation: want pig) when he would like to watch it. This afternoon he went to G.G.'s house like he does every Thursday while I'm at school. He wore his shirt that says "Heartbreaker" on it that Nana gave him for Valentine's day with his cool new plaid shoes. We took his picture with all of G.G.'s pretty Valentine decor on her door. I must say, he did look like quite the heartbreaker. He hides his sickness well!

Hopefully our little heartbreaker will finally get some sleep tonight. We've had a rough week with little sleep thanks to the croup. But, things seem to be a little better, so hopefuly that will equal a good night's rest for us all.

The Sweetest Valentines

Aren't Liam and Izzy are the sweetest little Valentines you have ever seen? I wouldn't, however, call getting these pictures an easy job. Between Liam's one and a half year old squirminess and Isabelle's infant
temperment, we had quite the time. But, we did manage to get some good shots. One thing is for sure: they are definitely the cutest Valentines on the block!

Liam sent out these adorable pictures with his beautiful hand made Valentines. He has come to realize his sincere love for stickers, so each Valentine and envelope is lovingly smothered with stickers.

Unfortunately, Sunday Liam came down with a horrible cough/bug thing. After a long day yesterday and an even longer night last night with a high fever, we took him to the doctor. It's a good thing that we did because he has croup. Hopefully this medicine will make him as good as new and we'll have our happy, smiley boy back! It's so sad to watch him be so miserable. He's now resting peacefully in his bed, so please say a prayer that he stays that way.

Anyway, we hope you all have a wonderful, mushy and lovey dovey Valentine's Day!

Our Message to Winter

Liam and I are tired of the cold, winter weather! Liam loves to be outside so much that we just had to get out of the house today. Luckily it turned out to be a beautiful day! I took Liam for a walk through the park on his little trike and then we enjoyed leaving a message for winter on our driveway, "Go Away Winter, Come on Spring!" We do realize, however, that living in Nevada means winter won't really be away until probably the end of April. For now, we'll just take advantage of our lovely weather this week and be outside as much as possibly. We hope you all are enjoying your weather as well!

Be Mine

Today Liam made some Valentines to send out. He did such a good job and had so much fun. I just can't believe how big he's getting. And he looks like such a big kid in this picture.

Finger Painting FUN!

Liam and his buddy, Owen, had a wonderful, artsy experience today: FINGERPAINTING!! It was quite the experience. We stripped them down and let them go at it! They had a lot of fun getting messy. I think Owen got a little more into it, or got it more all over himself than Liam. :) They were very cute and had fun. We have some fun new paintings to hang up at our house. Just getting started. Owen's mom showing the boys what to do.
It didn't take long for them to figure out what to do!! Liam was a little disturbed by all the gooey stuff on his hands at this point, but he soon got over it. Owen was going to town on the paper!
