First Day of Church

On Sunday, Addy attended her first Sacrament meeting outside the womb. :)  She was a very good girl and slept through it in my arms. Nothing sweeter than sitting in church with a sleeping baby that looks like this:

This bonnet is one that my Aunt Linda had made for me when I was a baby. I actually came home from the hospital in it.  She looked pretty darn sweet.  What an angel!

Turkey Day Celebration!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. My sister hosted our biggest Thanksgiving yet with a total of 25 or so people.  We had lots of amazing food and good company.  What more could one ask for?  Heather did a great job hosting such an awesome day.  Here are some photos from the festivities.

Heather's nephew, Dylaan, came from Louisiana.  Liam LOVED playing with him. Here Dylaan introduced them to Bay Blades.  Liam informed me that he'd like to invite Dylaan to his fifth birthday party.

If a baby is ever missing, chances are you'll find her in G.G.'s arms all snuggled up. 

Liam and Izzy enjoyed playing for quite a long time outside, even though it was, oh, maybe 10*. Brrr...

Here are the kids enjoying their Thanksgiving feast!  They especially enjoyed the sparkling cider.  Who wouldn't, right? 

Addy was a little bit overwhelmed by all the people and noise, so she spent most of the day in my arms. 

However she did enjoy Thanksgiving dinner being held by daddy so mommy could enjoy some turkey, too.

At the end of the night, around 6:30 or so, we all sat down to play some pictionary (which I need to add, Heather and I won again. we had to defend our title.)  However, the kids had played and ran seriously non-stop all day.  Apparently, all the action had finally caught up to Izzy and she fell asleep in the middle of the game while sitting at the table.  I find it impressive that Heather and I were still able to win pictionary while I was nursing Addy and she was holding sleeping Izzy... ;)

Such a lovely Thanksgiving this year.  We really have so much to be thankful for.

ONE month

 

Throughout Liam's first year, we took his photo on each 'month day' by this giraffe with a sign saying how old he was. It was so fun to look back over the year and see how he'd grown. We thought we'd keep up our tradition by doing the same with Addy.

Our little Turkey is one month old today: 4 days before Thanksgiving.  Her little shirt is from Nana and says "Thankful for Mommy." :)

At one month old, here are a few things about Adelyn:

-She usually sleeps at least three-four hours at a time at night, however, one-two times a week, we'll get a 6 or 7 hour stretch which is SO nice.  She's been a really good sleeper so far.

-She started sleeping in her own bed a few nights ago. She sometimes has a gassy tummy and becomes a very noisy sleeper.  When she does that she keeps mommy and daddy awake while she snoozes away, so even though I wasn't quite ready for it, into her own bed she went, and she loves it there.

-She likes to look at the Christmas tree lights at the department stores.  She becomes mesmerized and just stares away at them. I can't wait to get our tree up for her to admire.

-She is so close to smiling at us. She stares and stares and raises her eyebrows at us, but hasn't quite figured out how to make that smile.  Liam is trying so hard to be the first one to crack the code!

We sure love our little Angel. She has definitely enriched our family.

Christmas Kick-Off

Last night we decided to go the Summit's Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony with my sister and her family. It was so much fun! It was REALLY cold, however, but we still had a good time.

The Santa and Mrs. Claus were brought in on a fire truck followed by the UNR drumline. Liam and Wes loved the drums. Liam waved and waved to Santa. They looked like they were walking in on the red carpet with cameras snapping like crazy to get their photo. They really were a fantastic Santa and Mrs. Claus, though. :) When Santa got to the tree he threw his magic dust and the tree lit up and a fire work show started. At this point, I had headed to the car with Adelyn because it was so cold, but we enjoyed the show from our van. :) The finale was amazing. Almost better than the fourth of July fireworks! it definitely got us in the Christmas Spirit!

We got Addy in the spirit by dressing her in her 'elfette' costume. ;) Pretty cute, don't ya think?

Izzy is in love with Addy. She'll sit next to her and touch her every chance she gets. It's very cute. :)

We're now in such a Christmas spirit that we're putting up our decorations a little early this year... Shh... don't tell. :D

Addy and Daddy

Addy loves hanging out with her daddy.  Yesterday we had her try out a bottle with some of the millions of ounces I've been pumping for when I go back to work. (ok, not a million, but I have 60 ounces saved up. woo-hoo!) haha.  Anyway, she did great with the bottle and did great transitioning back to breastfeeding as well.  Good job, Addy.

She also really likes her snuggle time with daddy.  I just thought these pictures were sweet.

I can always tell when she's REALLY asleep because she sleeps with her mouth open.  It's been that way from day one.  Pretty funny how they already have such specific traits from the get go isn't it?

Pretty Girl

I had to take some 'dress up' photos of Adelyn with her bracelet that G.G. gave to her.  It is so adorable.  It's a little hard to see in the photos, but it has her name on it with little pearls and her birth stone.  Playing dress up with a baby girl really is fun!

Kindness

 

Liam is so thoughtful and kind.  He found this bitty baby toy and wanted Addy to have it to play with.  I went in and found her like this. :)

Paintballers

Daddy is, of course, hoping to turn Liam into quite the paintballer. :) The other day they went out to the indoor paintball place to run around, get some exercise, and play. Wes took these photos of "Liam in training."  They had a blast together. They are definitely two-of-a-kind. :D

Sweet Big Brother

Liam was burping his baby while Nana burped Addy. He's very pleased with himself. He's a great big brother!

Double Chin Love

I really can't get enough of this double chin.  Seriously.  Could there be anything cuter?

And whomever said that you don't take as many photos of your second child as your first, obviously didn't know me. :D  I just can't get enough of the cuteness.

Sibling Love

Wes snapped this photo of these two a couple of nights ago after bathtime. Liam really loves her.  He always wants to be near her and says he wants to just look at her 'beautiful face.'  Melt my heart.  Anytime she wakes up he says, "Good Morning Sunshine" in his sweetest little baby-talk voice. The only problem we have is that maybe he loves on her a little too much. We have to remind him that he can't 'squeeze her guts out' like he does when he hugs daddy.  :)

Civic Duty

On November 2, Adelyn did her duty as a citizen of the United States, and went with her mommy and daddy to vote. :)  I am pretty sure she was probably one of the youngest voters out there.  Have to teach them young!  She was being a little goofy for the photo shoot to show off her sticker. ;)
