Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!!
Wes is such an awesome and funny daddy for Liam. They are two peas in a pod. This past weekend while he was gone Liam was constantly asking, "Where IS daddy?" He is such an awesome example and works so hard for our little family. He is so generous, loving and caring.
My dad is a wonderful dad as well. He is such a great papa to Liam--taking him for boat rides, rides on the quad, in the truck and just playing around in general! I have so many wonderful childhood memories such as hunting, horseback riding, fishing, camping, riding the quads, and feeding the horses and cows in the dead of winter with frozen water(ok, maybe not the last part sooooooo much.) He is a loving and caring dad and helped me to learn the values that I hold today.
Liam also has a great Opa who he loves to talk to on the phone!! He is always so happy to talk to him and is looking forward to seeing him in a week. He is a great Opa and daddy to Wes. He set a great example for Wes to have the desire to serve a mission and helped him become the great man he is today!
And we can't forget how much Liam loves Grandpa-Great! He especially loves him because he gives him cookies and lets him blow bubbles in his backyard! I have so many great memories sitting on grandpa's lap and coming his hair with his pocket comb. He has been so wonderful to me and also to my sweet little boy. I feel so blessed that he and Gigi are able to be such a big part of Liam's life.
Liam is definitely one very blessed little boy with all of the wonderful guys in his life!
Liam also learned to play the Harmonica or "sing, sing" today. He also pretends he is conducting an orchestra while playing. Quite talented.

Donner Lake Fun!

We had so much fun celebrating Father's Day with Nana, Papa, Titi, Uncle Shaawn, Izzy and Larry today! Unfortunately, Wes had a scout campout Thurs, Fri, and Sat so he didn't get to go. However, he had a great time at his campout exploring caves, repelling, etc, so he didn't feel too bad about missing the fun!
Unfortunately, the blogger isn't have the pictures come up in the writing section, so I'll just write about the highlights and you can put them with the pictures.
Liam had his first boat ride and LOVED it. Papa even let him 'drive!'
He also rode in a kayak with Aunt Pam!! That was really fun, especially paddling.
Titi bought him his very first snow cone. Yum!
Of course he LOVED the slides and went down them a couple hundred times.
And the funniest, cutest thing of all? He went out on his last boat ride with Nana and Papa. We knew he was exhausted, but he passed out almost immediately. Nana knew when she heard him stop talking that he was out! He had one croc off and used his life jacket for a pillow. Then he layed under the trees with his life jacket and all. Definitely a Wipe Out!
It was such a fun, beautiful day! Now we are all about to pass out! Happy Father's Day!

RED day!

Yesterday we had RED day! It was fun to finally be back on track with our color days after vacation and summer school! First thing, of course, we had to find all the RED things we could. This 'phone' Liam is talking on was given to him by Corie on his first birthday. It's actually a pretend Swiss Army knife. At any rate, the past few days he has been obsessed with it and using it as a phone to talk to G.G. and ask for bubbles. Funny, funny.

Then we had to make our RED sign. This is my favorite one so far! He's becoming such an artist.
And I went through an old box of party stuff and found RED balloons. He's still going strong playing with them today, too!
Giving the 'angry' eyes while eating his RED mac'n'cheese with veggies. Rumor has it that Izzy has started giving the infamous angry eyes as well. Must be genetic.

Next week we'll be in Murphy's but we'll have a BROWN week the next week!!

Our Daily Double

Some parents like to brag how their kids play Solitaire or read the dictionary. I guess I get to brag that my son's favorite show is Jeopardy. Well, Jeopary AND Family Feud. They are our Daily Double. He has loved Jeopardy since I can remember. It always puzzled me because it's really not that interesting as far as graphics, etc, are concerned. But, he begs for it each night. We watch it from 7-7:30 while he unwinds for bed. I do know, however, that he loves the sounds. Petew, Petew, Pew-Pew-- That's the sound he makes for the Daily Double. :) He gets his amazing sound effect ability from his daddy.

I do, however, know where he got his love of Family Feud: G.G. He fondly calls it "Happy, Happy!" We get to watch that when he wakes up from his nap from 2:30-3:00. I was embarrassed to realize that he can even clap in synch with the theme song. And he throws his arms up in the air and dances wildly when one family wins the round.

I guess I've created a Game Show monster...

Fun and Busy Day!

We had a fun and busy day today! The first best part of the day was that it was my last day of school until August! WOOO-HOOO! Summer break at last! After I got out of class, Izzy came over for a little photo shoot so I can do one of my layout samples for the store of her in her very first swimming suit! Boy is she adorable. Doesn't she look adorable in these glasses?

After Liam's nap, Owen and Ehren came over to play. Liam did a little better sharing. Here he is 'sharing' Owen's own crackers with Owen. They both thought it was pretty hilarious when Liam would feed him.He's been so excited to see Owen this week. Everyday he asks for Owen. I'm so glad they are friends. :)And after Owen left we took a quick dip in the pool for his birthday invitations photo shoot. I had to practically drag him inside even though it was breezy and cool-- he didn't care. This kid just LOVES water.

This weekend we went down to Yerington for our friend, John's, Mission 'Farewell' BBQ. Unfortunately, we didn't even get a photo of or with John! John is headed off next week to the MTC for his two year mission in Chile. We are so excited for him and know that he will be an awesome missionary!
Liam especially had a fantastic time at his BBQ. He basically never got off of the trampoline. Here are some funny pictures of Liam enjoying "Bouncing!!"

And then, these are from our yard. Every year I think that this gigantic bush is a weed until it blooms into these amazing poppies! They are seriously some of the most gorgeous flowers! I just had to share them and document them because I love them so much. Too bad it's only once a year that they bloom. Before they bloom though, they look like a giant thistle. And it seems like they grow overnight. Enjoy!

OBSESSED!

Ok, so I am officially obsessed with the 'Twilight' book series! I got the first one for Mother's Day and haven't stopped reading since! I am anxiously awaiting the release of the fourth and final book in Septemeber. Also, something *really* exciting is the release of the movie in December. They already have the trailer out for it and more information. I know that this is not a 'typical Holly' type of book or movie, but trust me on this-- you'll love it!!
