Sunday Best

Here are a couple of photos of my cutie-pies in their Sunday best.  This was the first Sunday of the year and Liam moved up to the CTR 4 class. I had him all prepped that he'd have a new teacher, classroom, and spot to sit during sharing time.  He was very excited, even though he loved his current primary teacher. I was so sad that she wouldn't be his teacher anymore.  Low and behold when I went to take him in, she was there!  She was able to move up with his class. I'm so so thankful. She's a wonderful woman that puts so much time and care into teaching her class.  She truly loves the kids and that really makes all the difference in the world. The most embarrassing part of the whole thing was Liam saw her and said, "Hey, I thought I was getting a new teacher! I wanted a new class today!"  Oy.  I guess I prepped him a little too much. haha. Thankfully Sister Romney was very understanding and knew exactly where he was coming from.

Here are the cuties.  Liam is near-impossible to get a decent picture of these days and at this point we were running about 10 minutes late and Addy was crying, so this was the best I could get. ;)

I bought this dress before Addy was born. I had plenty of clothes, but I saw this dress and had to buy it for her.  Sometimes moms just have to buy their own special little outfits for each kiddo, right?  I have been dying to get it on her.   It did not disappoint. She was by far the cutest little girl in church. ;) 

 

She's been such an angel at church.  They both have. I love sitting in Sacrament meeting rocking her and having Liam sit next to me reading with Wes's arm around me. Sounds cheesy, but it really is the best thing ever.  Those are some of my favorite moments.

Happy New Year!

We had a lovely New Year's Eve this year.  We enjoyed the evening with our good friends, The Finlays.  We played games and chowed on yummy food.  Erica and I defended our title of "Pictionary Man Queens."  We also expanded our title to Pictionary on the Wii. We've yet to lose a Pictionary game to Wes and Jake.  The got close in Pictionary Man, but we are still the champions. 

These next two pictures crack me up.  The kids were thrilled they were allowed to stay up until midnight. They got their sparkling cider and watched the ball dropped. However, I think these pictures show how tired we all really were.  :)

And, Erica, this photo is for you.  By some miracle my son's grape apple cider didn't spill on your lovely couches.  This picture makes me cringe when I look at his cup. haha.

RoboCop

No matter what hat Adelyn is wearing, it always ends up over her eyes when she is sleeping in her carseat. It's pretty hilarious. Wes says this is her robocop look. :)

Addy and Alli

A couple of weeks ago, we went out on a double date with our good friends Jake and Erica (well, Addy joined us on the date. :))  Alli and Ashlyn came over to be baby-sat with Liam and Alli really wanted to hold Addy.  She did such a good job and they looked so cute together that I just had to snap a photo.  Alli is such a sweet girl and I'm so glad Addy will have her as such a good example in her life. 

PS- Doesn't Addy look so big here?! sheesh!

Favorite Ornament this Year

I had to post a photo of my favorite ornament this year.  I had Liam's footprint made into an ornament when he was 6 weeks old and I have always adored it. It's been my favorite.  I was nervous I wouldn't find a place to do Addy's since I had done Liam's in Roseville. Thankfully, a lady in town does them and we were able to get one for Addy, too.  I hung hers and Liam's at the top of my tree, as I do and will continue to do every year.  They are so precious to me. 

Christmas Brunch

We had a very lovely Christmas day.  Our annual Christmas Day brunch was held at my sister's house. It was a relaxing day filled with playing with toys, Wii games, Pictionary man, yummy food, and relaxing.  Here are a few photos from our day.

Peyton LOVES Peeps. He'd shove the whole thing in and put his hands over his mouth so no one could even try to take it away. Soo funny.

GG got some beautiful red nailpolish from Izzy for Christmas.  She tried it out on Izzy.

I just loved this picture of Izzy serving tea to everyone in her adorable Christmas jammies. So sweet.

Liam got his very own laptop from GG that he just loves.  Here he is checking it out with daddy.

This is how I spend most of my time these day: nursing my girl.  Wouldn't have it any other way.

Merry Christmas Morning

Liam was very excited for Christmas morning. I was *sure* that this was the year he'd be up every hour, but he slept until 6am. In fact, I was once again up before him, pumping away so that we'd be ready to go when he got up.  The cutest thing ever was when he came into our room first thing and whispered in the sweetest little voice "Merry Christmas Mommy and Daddy" and came into snuggle with us. He didn't even mention the presents.  Such a sweet boy!  Wes told him to check and see if Santa came, and sure enough, he did!  The anticipation started and he read all the names on the presents waiting to open them!

He was so excited that Santa brought him a Misty Island Set and Annie and Clarabel. He said, "it's just what I always wanted!"

I bought this movie for Wes a LONG time ago.  We bought it one day at Costco and I didn't even think Liam saw it.  Well, we were walking through Target and Wes was looking at the movie and Liam said, "Hey Dad, that's the movie me and mom bought you at Costco for Christmas!"  Needless to say, he didn't do anymore Christmas shopping with me. We made that gift from Liam to Daddy. :D

Because it was just the four of us (and Addy slept through most of the present opening), we were able to really take our time. We set up Liam's train set and let him play with it before opening anything else.

Wes's mom crocheted lovely afghans for us. We love them. :)

Ugh.  I had to post the real-life Christmas morning photo of me.  Not pretty, but reality. ;)

Liam also had to go and see if the Reindeer ate the food. He found that Donner did NOT like the carrots and spit them out!  Naughty reindeer!

Addy finally joined us.  Here's me and my babies:

Addy got a Sophie the giraffe and an owl toy for her car seat from Santa. She's been good this year.

My parents joined us to exchange gifts and do stockings a little later in the morning.  Liam loved all the goodies in his stocking. 

All the fun pooped Addy out and she hung out in her swing during the rest of the present madness.

Wes picked out a Big Game Hunter Wii game for Papa.

Liam hit a big growth spurt recently and needed new clothes, so that's what my mom got him. My mom was smart because she knew he'd really not be interested in the clothes, so she put candy in with them.  She was right, he was more excited about the candy than anything else.

Liam got his sister a glow baby. She really likes it. :)

Uncle Larry gave Liam some books and they read them together. So sweet. :)

Addy got the cutest stocking with lots of fun little goodies too. You can see she enjoyed it. :)
