Thomas and His Friends

Liam had a wonderful Thomas and Friends Birthday Party this year! I was hesitant to do a train theme again (he had one for his first birthday), but I knew he'd love a Thomas party since he's pretty much obsessed with him now (we think he's replaced Dora), so I bit the bullet and did it. It was a great party and Liam was over the moon with everything.

First thing's first, the cake. I didn't have a lot of time this year, so G.G. graciously offered to do the cake for us. I think it turned out really adorable and Liam just loved it. It's supposed to represent the Island of Sodor! Thanks so much, G.G! Liam was so shocked! "There is THOMAS on my Cake, Mom?!"

We had a BBQ dinner of hamburgers and hotdogs, as well as yummy cowboy caviar and potato salad. Thanks to those that helped us with the food. Everything was delicious!

Isabelle just LOVES babies. She can be shy at times, but she had no qualms about climbing up onto Erica's lap to sit next to Ashlyn.

We decided to do a pinata this year. Liam's been really into baseball and such, so we thought he'd enjoy it. We had the pinata pulled all the way up into the tree before the party and Liam was outside. He came running inside and said, "Why is Thomas is my tree, mom?!" The kids loved the pinata. It was a lot of fun.

Liam got this workshop from my parents. It was the hit of the night. Their favorite part was swiping the credit card. ;)

The kids all played together so well. They played "Home Depot" (as Liam calls it) for quite a while.

We actually had to stop them from playing to let Liam open his other presents.
