St. Nicholas Day

Every year we do a modified version of the German St. Nick's day. Because I give Liam jammies and and ornament every year anyway, we do that for our St. Nick's day gift and we use his can that I made for him last year instead of a shoe(although as he gets older, we may do the shoe with candy too). This year since Grandma was here and brought his Christmas gift, she gave it to him to open on St. Nick's day so she could be with him when he opened it.

He loved, loved, loved his train from Grandma. We thought it was really cool as well. He originally wanted to name it Thomas, of course, but we talked him into Woody. He liked it and it stuck. ;)



On St. Nick's Day it started snowing and snowing and snowing. In fact, we still have snow left from that snow almost a month later(our backyard is still covered!) We made a little outing to shop and Liam and daddy had fun slip sliding around. ;)
